YANMAR’s new 4TN107 high-power industrial engine is nominated for Diesel Engine of the Year Award

The new 4TN107 YANMAR common rail diesel engine has been nominated for the 2019 Diesel Progress Summit Award in the “Diesel Engine of the Year (>175 hp)” category.

EU Stage V 155 kW diesel engine

The 4TN107 is the result of YANMAR’s broad experience and commitment to produce the very best high-power, most fuel-efficient diesel engines for what the market demands. The 4.6-liter after-cooled engine complies with the EU Stage V emission standards. The two-stage turbo-charged engine peaks at 155 kW and has best-in-class fuel consumption, while achieving a maximum torque of 805 Nm. The engine thus meets the requirements of a wide range of industrial fields, including construction, agriculture and material handling.

Judging criteria

The Diesel Progress Summit focuses strongly on the future of diesel power, highlights innovation and showcases excellence in the engine industry. Entries in the Diesel Engine of the Year (>175 hp) category are judged on criteria such as innovations in engine design, emissions, control technology, IoT systems, and ease of maintenance and ownership considerations.

Diesel Progress Summit

The Award will be presented for the first time at the Diesel Progress Summit (DPS) in Louisville, USA, on September 30, 2019, prior to the International Construction & Utility Equipment Exposition (ICUEE). This award is for a new engine for on- or off-road vehicles that has been made commercially available since the beginning of 2018.
